Steve Parkes
University of Dundee (UK)


Steve Parkes is Director of the Space Technology Centre at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Steve is the author of the SpaceWire standard and technical leader of the SpaceWire working group currently writing the SpaceWire RMAP standard. He is also chairperson of the CCSDS Time Critical Onboard Network Service working group. Steve has worked in the space industry and academia for the past 17 years. He graduated from University of Lancaster with a BSc in Applied Physics and Electronics and an MSc in Semiconductor Devices. He was awarded his PhD in Electronic Music Synthesis for University College Cardiff, Wales, in 1984.
