Abstract

The lunar orbital rendezvous decision is reviewed, and the Apollo spacecraft management is discussed in detail, including program control and contractor interfaces.  The ground and flight test programs are outlined, with particular emphasis on the relationship between manned and unmanned flights.  A well-trained, knowledgeable staff of personnel is considered as Apollo's greatest technological contribution.
